Founded over 60 years ago, Buckton Surveyors and Planners has been integral to the development of the Auckland, Kaipara, and Northland regions.
Based in Warkworth, Dargaville, and Whangārei, we’re proud to offer our comprehensive land surveying, planning, and ecology services which spans over the Greater Auckland, Kaipara, and Northland regions.
Our team is made up of a great bunch of highly experienced individuals, including surveyors, planners, ecologists, and support staff, who have extensive local knowledge and decades of experience to ensure the job gets done right, every time.

Our management team
Tony Hayman joined Buckton in 1982 and uses his vast experience and local knowledge to provide expert surveying and planning advice to clients.
Tony is a member of Survey and Spatial NZ, and the Consulting Surveyors of NZ.

Jo Hopkins is a member of Survey and Spatial NZ, and the Consulting Surveyors of NZ.
A former Mahurangi College student, he graduated from the University of Otago in 2008 with a Bachelor of Surveying (Distinction). Jo is a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.

Richard joined Buckton in 2023 and quickly became a valuable member of the team, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
As a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, he is an expert in dealing with unit title subdivisions and high-density developments.

Gabriel is our Senior Survey Manager. He is a “one stop shop" with a broad range of skills and experience both in the field and the office, and he has the ability to take on any project.

Born and raised in Whangārei, Elliot is our go-to guy in the Northland region. He is a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, and has extensive experience across New Zealand and Australia.
Elliot has a passion for cadastral surveying and land development engineering, and brings a highly collaborative and efficient approach to every project he's involved in.
